Does anyone know of a utility (free or otherwise) that I can get to monitor the amount of charge on a 515 battery?
Also what is the approximate battery life on this model?

Thanks

Check on Palmgear.com for an app named BATMON.

The useful time varies on the back light usage and the type of application. Also a factor is how old the battery is and any mistreatment it has had charging and discharging.

My 515 will give me 5 or 6 hours of use and still have good reserves.

I use BatteryLog, which keeps track of time since last charged, ON time, backlight time, and tries(!) to predict when charge will reach 0%:

I just put on HiBattery, which graphs voltage vs time. It is kind of fun. I'll probably take if off soon:

I also used Battery Log and like John found it a reasonable tool.
SInce then I have seen no need for anyting other then the meter on the Palm APPs page. I also use the clock app CESIUM which allows you to see the voltage and a percentage value.

I get voltage and % from LauncherIII.

LauncherIII is a fantastic, no frills replacement for the Palm app launcher. It uses little RAM and is extremely stable. I organize dozens of apps (most on CF) in separate tabs.

I use SysInfo to monitor my battery life. It also shows info on tons of other things.

I like A Tool. I've used it for years. Still works great.

Yunk,
I am not familiar with an app named "A Tool." Can you tell me more about it and where to find it?
