iPAQ program compatibility

hello! I just got an iPAQ h1945, and I'm having a little problem running some programs on it.
I downloaded a host of games and utilities, but only a few are running.
I'm running MS Pocket PC 4.20.1080, 2003

Some of the progams I downloaded specified compatibility with iPAQ 3xxx, and I assume that this has something to do with the incompatibility. What's the deal?
The unit is running a 266mhz strongARM processor, so I made sure to only download ARM programs.

I'm a n00b, any help is appreciated.

The programs should work, perhaps you have problem with installing them properly on the ipaq. There are several ways softwares get distributed and installed. TAke a look in this thread for complete information;
