And I don't know that they would or wouldn't. You'll have to try to get both to recognize by setting each device to Auto Discover etc. If you do get them to recognize, you may be able to transfer a native Word or Excel document to the iPaq but I think that's going to be about it. It would have to be a document or file that's recognizeable on both devices which is like getting a Mac to open PC files....it's just not natural. You may be able to transfer pictures in jpeg but this will be very limited in what you can transfer. minzawaung 08-02-2004, 12:12 AM I am sure you may be able to share one particular type of file Isilo .prc and isilo.pdb All Isilo html converted files, images.tables, forms as well as text files using Isilo application on both platforms i.e. Palm as well as PPC. Try www.memoware.com to enjoy 1000+ Isilo compatible files for your collection! We (a friend with ppc and myself palm OS) have been sharing isilo files for nearly 3 years +..... Enjoy!! Jaktar 08-02-2004, 12:46 AM Thanks guys for your quick reply. I gather that it is possible to transfer files as log as they are in native format ie .doc or .xls. My other issue is setting up the Bluetooth connection !!!! Any suggestions or special settings required???? dwinget 08-02-2004, 01:38 AM If you want to beam information such as addresses, calendar items, etc, between the iPAQ and the Palm OS device, you will need to install a utility called Peacemaker Pro on the Pocket PC. http://www.conduits.com Jaktar 08-03-2004, 02:03 AM Thanks Dwinget..... Downloaded the app and am now "home and hosed". Thanks for the support guys........ love your work:) dwinget 08-03-2004, 03:16 AM Originally posted by Jaktar Thanks guys for your quick reply. However, it immediately converts them to Pocket Office. Unfortunately, when the iPAQ was beaming the document back to the Palm, it was unable to convert the Pocket Office document back to its native file format. dwinget 08-03-2004, 03:29 AM Originally posted by minzawaung I am sure you may be able to share one particular type of file Isilo .prc and isilo.pdb All Isilo html converted files, images.tables, forms as well as text files using Isilo application on both platforms i.e. Palm as well as PPC. Palms use the Plucker Reader, while Pocket PCs use Vade Mecum. It is also possible for the Sharp Zaurus to use Plucker files using Opie Reader. iSilo: http://www.isilo.com Plucker: http://www.plkr.org Vade Mecum: http://vade-mecum.sourceforge.net/ Opie Reader: http://www.timwentford.uklinux.net/ :D PDA Street
