Wireless access seems slooowww

Is it just me or do web pages seem to load very slowly or not at all. Can someone post a URL with their average load time? I have a linksys wap11 AP, 1.5M DSL connection. The PDA is about 3 feet from the access point and shows a 55% signal strength. No wep enabled.

My experience in browsing using the pocket version of Internet Explorer was about the same as yours, very slow, even with a broadband connection. I found the browsing package called ThunderHawk provided by Bitstream does a much better job with the speed and the display on the Pocket PC. Check them out at

While the service isn't free, the $50 per year is well worth it for me with performance of this product. It does what they say it will, and you can try it out free for 30 days. Not only does it format the pages to better fit the the PPC display, it's much faster than Pocket Explorer. Support for the product has been good as well, handled mostly via e-mail. Try it out, I think you'll like it. And no, I don't work for Bitstream.
