hp 2210 stops sync-ing

my HP starts to sync but stops after about 10% of my files have been sync'd and just sits there saying "synchronizing..." .

do I need to adjust something on my XP settings or on my iPaq
or what?

downloaded programs sync instantly!

Have you tried disconnect the ipaq from the desktop, soft reset it, restart your desktop and try to sync again?
And do you have latest version of Activesync(3.7.1)?

I'm having exactly the same problem. It started after I did a hard reset. I've done as answerdude suggested - no go. I reloaded activsync 3.7.1. Still no go! Hope you find the answer!:confused:

...since it appears to be a file transfer issue with ActiveSync...

* On the desktop, move all of the files out of the synchronized files folder to a temporary folder on the desktop PC.
* Remove the iPAQ from the cradle and soft reset.
* Put the iPAQ back in the cradle and reestablish the ActiveSync session. Make sure synchronization completes.
* Move files from the temporary folder in small subsets, ie. 5-6 at at time, back into the synchronized files folder. Make sure synchronization completes successfully.

You may find one or two files that are causing your problem. Hopefully the above procedure will allow you to find the offending file(s) easily...
