Hi,

I have just purchased the NR-70 and have the memory stick.

Is it possible to access Noah Lite and the database file from the memory stick, and if so how?

Please let me know

Thanks,

Mason

To launch from the stick do this:

1. Go to normal (HOME) launcher.

2. Hit the menu and choose the Memory Stick. This will be an icon of a stick at the bottom of the list displaying the name of the stick, (if you labeled it.) This will take you launcher for the memrory stick.

3. Launch your application as usual from there.

4. Use the menu to switch between lanuchers for handheld and stick.

If you are going to do a lot of this, I suggest thinking about installing a good launcher application. There are several discussions of this in other threads.

Hi,

I tried it and it tells me that it's can't find the database?

Get a copy of MSMount - it will allow programs that don't support the memory stick to find data in a known directory (as specified by the configuration of msmount).

note: msmount is case sensitive, you may have to exit the app and enable and disable msmount for the changes to be picked up - but it works great for most apps I've ever used.

Thanks for the reply.
Two things though

First, why can't I see MSMount on my main screen after installing it

Second, it won't allow me to create a new folder.

Solution:
Please follow the steps below to run applications directly from Memory Stick(R) media.

NOTES:
* Running applications directly from Memory Stick media is not supported on the PEG S300.
* Running applications directly from Memory Stick media is supported on the PEG N710C when the handheld has been upgraded using the Palm OS(R) upgrade program from Sony.

1. Ensure the application is located in the /Palm/Launcher folder on the Memory Stick media. This folder is created when the media is formatted on the handheld.

A. If the Memory Stick media was just formatted in the MS Gate application, tap Home and then tap the MS Gate icon again to see the changes.

B. If necessary, copy or move the application to the Memory Stick media.

(1) In the MS Gate application, navigate to the /Palm/Launcher folder on the Memory Stick media by tapping the appropriate folder icons.

(2) In the top right corner of the MS Gate screen, tap the down arrow and tap to select Internal.

(3) Tap to select the application to copy or move, then tap either Copy or Move.

(4) In the Copy File box or Move File box, tap OK.

2. In the top right corner of the Application Launcher screen, tap to select Card.

3. Applications stored on the Memory Stick media located in the /Palm/Launcher folder will be displayed. Tap the icon of the application to launch.
