CF Card Problems

I recently bought a new 256MB CF card and PCMCIA Card caddy from Expansys.

The caddy works fine. So I backup all the files from my 64MB card on my 7Book onto my PC.

Insert the 256MB card (Formatted on my 7Book) and copy everything back.

All seems well ;-)

Until I try clicking on ANY file (data or APP) I get a message that says

"filename" does not exist.

THis happens with any file and also now happens on the re-instated 64MB card.

Any ideas?

It was even happening on the C drive.

Don't know why but a hard reset cured the problem. Mother and new CF drive doing well

I'd guess a soft reset would have sorted it out too - or did you try this first with no success? I have occasionally seen a (slightly different) problem where changing a CF card would result in all applications responding with 'Not Found' when trying to launch them. A soft reset always fixes that one.
