Want your Zire 72 to have a new look ??
All you got to do is rub it with your finger for about half a hour. How about that 2 skins in one !! It looks alot more professional don't you think?

Uhm... could you like post a bigger picture? It's kinda hard to see when its size is for ants. :P

Cool. Atleast, now, I can reast easy knowing that when the blue paint starts to chip-off, something better is waiting underneath!

I have talked to about 20 people who have had the same paint problem. I even went by a PalmOne store and their demo was doing the same thing; in fact they could peal it off with just their fingernails. I would return it as a factory defect get your money and buy something else, the video is nice, but the 71 still is my favorite.

The Z72 is very cheaply made.
Palm should have kept the body of the Z71 and upgraded the hardware to make the Z72. I dont want to shoot down Palm but what where they thinking.
I have both the Z71 and the T3 and its been hard to get rid of the Z71. I can still do a ton of things on it including watch a movie, but it has its limitation due to the small amount of internal memory. I used to keep most programs in my SD card.

Cool. How are you able to watch movies on your Palm. That sounds so cool. I have Z72. I wonder if it could do the same. I wouldn't mind your telling me.

Hello Carrie.
Yes you can.
1) I use MMPlayer (latest version 2.12 I think) to play the movies on my Z71

2) I use Pocket DVD to turn my DVD's into an AVI file that MMPlayer can play.

3) Last, I use 512 mb SD card, but a 256 will do also. for 1 movie.

I also have the T3 and it works great, specially in widescreen mode, but it also works on the Z71
I think the Z72 is has a faster processor than the Z71, so it can handle it better

There are other programs to play movies and turn DVD's into files you can use with MMPlayer.
If you go to http://www.palmsource.com/ , and select software and video, you can find a whole list.

The mmplayer cost me $12 and the Pocket DVD program for my pc was $32. not cheap I know.
A 256mb SD card you can get for around $50 on the Internet and if you find a sale, you might even get it for less than 40.
I hope this helps you out a bit, but there are many programs out there. But the good ones cost money.

If PalmOne really HAS fixed the paint problem, maybe they should have used an UNPEELED unit on the PR photo for the VAJA CASE on their website ; )

the one bad thing about mmplayer is it has a noisy sound. Do u realise it?

I use MMPlayer for movies only, and the sound depends on the format you are using for converting the movie to an AVI.
For music I use Aeroplayer. It has an amp which helps on th Z71.
but the mmplayer does have an amp also and an eq.
I guess I would need to try it.
