Palm Pilot Personal Syncing Issues

I have a palm personal for a while now and i was just wondering if any one is having the issue where it won't sync with the desktop sometimes? I have been having this problem for a couple of years now and only recently is it getting anoyying. Is it maybe because i am using a new version of palm desktop? I use my iiic in the same cradle that came with the personal and it works fine. It's just when i push the sync button it will sometimes come on others it will sync and most of the time it wont even come on. (im talking about the personal thought)

Any help would be apreciated. :(

(BTW i have cleaned the ports on the cradle and the palm and i have done resets numerous amounts of times)

I might suggest taking a small pick or paper clip or something, and very gently pull out on each of the 10 connector pins on the cradle. I still have my personal, and it lost connection this way - after so many years, the pins gradually got pushed in to where they wouldn't make a good connection.

Just be careful you don't pull on the connector pins too much, or bend them out too far.
