does anyone have an opinion of the various choices of map software such as Microsoft Pocket Streets vs others?

Maps are my "thing" and have been for a lot of years. As far as maps on a PocketPC goes, you simply are not going to get the speed and overall functionality of the Pocket Streets from any other program. I was previously using DeLorme's products for years, but they unfortunately have gone in a wrong direction AFAIAC. They are slower and more boring to look at to begin with. Microsoft's Streets and Trips downloaded through Pocket Streets is fast, easy and accurate (emphasis on the ACCURATE) as most programs I can trip up with inaccurate info. On Microsoft's S&T it is dead on every time and very accurate in it's detail. As a traveler from Illinois to the West Coast much of the year, I rely on it's accuracy and it has never let me down. Also very resonable on the memory as well. Fast Easy Accurate and completely compatible.........what else could you ask for? ;-)
