Moto 710 Bluetooth UX-50 NG

I have a brand new SONY Clie UX 50 and today I picked up my Motorola 710. The MOTO 710 connected via Bluetooth to the Moto Handsfree earpiece with no problems - but I'm unable to pair the 710 and UX-50. The Clie finds the 710 and lists it as a device, but when I then go to the Clie phone book and try to send a number or info it gives me a notice that it "can't find the Motorola Phone".
I have yet to even try the combo for email web access.

I'd appreciate any advice that might help me get this problem solved...
