Hey, I am sure there is an easy answer, but...
I have two palms (505 and 515), one wife's, one mine, and I would like to be able to synch her calendar and mine (so we know where each other are when we are on the road during the week). I have three computers at home on a peer to peer network (one hers, one mine, one file server) and I would like to have each computer synch to the calendar, address book etc. on the server from the two other machines!
Two cradles, two different calendars and address books, one Desktop program. Further as a perq, if my wife sits down at her computer and puts in a few social engagements on her desktop calendar, I want to see it on mine too! IS this possible? Anybody know what programs will allow it seamlessly, surely they exist? What edition and whee to find it would really help!
Thank you much in advance!

Here is the manual for Palm's DualDate application. See if it does what you want.

Thank you! It will be a good stop gap, I think, but I still can't get whether it will also split the desktop so that both calendars will be visible on the main computers when checking or changing dates?
Of course it would be muc easier than beaming the calendars every day to each other, to just hot synch the palms at the end of the day, pick them up in the morning from the chargers and go...without having to worry about sitting down and beaming information (I know it sounds lazy, but I am sure tha we will forget, and the info changes pretty much daily)...
Would something like Intellisynch, or Timematters do what I need to do?? Or am I just out of luck for the more advanced features?
Do you know where I can download the Palm DualDate prog?
Thanks again!

I am only marginally familiar with Time Matters and my feeling is that it is more than you need in many ways and not what you want in others.
If you can find a copy of DualDate that would be a good starting point.
I did a quick search on the Palm.com site after sending you the PDF link and the software seems to have disappeared. Palm has made some rather bold changes in their software area.

Bruce,
I think this is DualDate with a new name? Now called "WeSync".

Good detective work! I was unable to find DualDate even though I remembered having recieved an email add from Palm for the app. When I used the Palm Company link that was a couple of months old they had revised the software section of the site.
Thanks! It looks interesting. My wife's Palm has the same ID as mine so it looks like a no go.

I wanted to thank ya'll too, I did find the DualDate several weeks ago, but I didn't figure anyone else would find it interesting!
Now my question expands a bit, how bout a program with a single calendar DB, that can be accessed over a network, modified by multiple users, and sycnable to the palm pilot?
For instance, my wife and I want to have our dual date calendars on a Desktop, she can modify the calendar, adn so can i, then when each of us sync's we get the whole calendar?
Kind of like a calendar for multiple professionals in one office, where waht you end up syncronizing is everyone's calendar, not just your own??
Thanks in advance!

You can sych two calendars by using Outlook and PocketMirror. The PocketMirror professional even comes with a handheld calendar program that allows you to set categories.
This is how hubby and I handle the situation.
I created categories in Outlook. Then create events in the appropriate category on the handheld or in outlook. When you sync the handhelds, both will have all events. If you use a calendar program that uses categories you will be able to view just one category at a time or all categories.
The trick with PocketMirror is you need to find the PocketMirror Note and make a copy of it, then change it to the second user name. This allows both users to sync with Outlook.
The use of categories also works for todos and memos. It's great to be able to add todos to hubbies category, then he syncs and they get added to his handheld. You don't need to sync all categories though, you can set PocketMirror preferences so any category stays on the handheld and doesnt' sync to outlook.

I'd like to further this discussion with a twist. My wife and I work at the same school and have a shared drive on the server. We'd like to sync at our own computers but integrate our Outlook calendars. We have PocketMirror. Questions:
1. Can outlook be configured to use the shared drive for calendar.
2. Can we then sync and have the same calendar with all shared events?

Part of your need can be addressed by the Palm product "DualDate."
As to Outlook on the Server that sounds like a question for the bright folks at chapura.com. They developed PocketMirror and really know what will and what will not work. I encourage you to email the tech team at Chapura. They also take phone calls!
