Screen of 2 Palm Vx different colors

Hi -
Does anyone know the reason for the Vx to have 2 different screen colors? I purchased 2 Palm Vx pdas off of eBay thru ReturnBuy and one has a blue/green colored screen and the other is more the traditional Palm green? I was just curious if there's an explanation or if one has an advantage over the other. Both Palms arrived with the dreaded "battery drain" problem but I fixed them thanks to a prior thread explaining how to do that. I now have 2 great Palm Vx pdas which have no backlight but otherwise work like a charm.

I too have noted the screen color differences. My wife and I had two Palm Vxs and just as you describe they were different.
There are two possible explanations:
1). Variations in the screens from the same manufacturer.
2). Screens provided by two different manufactrurers.

I am sure you know the two Palms were not made on the same day from the same lot of screens. Check the BirthDay of each.

How too obtain the Palm's BirthDay from the serial number.
50GK18h9HNJU - This a fake serial number just for an example.
The 3rd and 4th letters are the make of the palm. GK is for the Vx series.
The 6th, 7th and 8th characters are the Month, Day and Year.
So, for our example serial number the month would be August and the Year would be '99.
The day would be as follows...numbers 1-9 are just numbers 1-9.
"a"= 10, "b" = 11 and so on. Our example Palm was made on August 17, 1999.
