Hi,

I have an IPAQ 3955. I am looking for voice recognition software that is really good for the IPAQ.

Often time I am driving in the car and would like to look up a name in my address book or check my calander. OR even insert an appointment. Are there any really good voice software packages out there for this purpose.

I know IBM has via voice.

Any of these any good?

Please share your experiences.

Thanks

I believe ibm's via voice works well only in an ideal situation (ie., no background noises). Fonix's Voice Central may be a better application.

VIA Voice...

Me: "What time is it?"
Puter: "Message has been deleted"

lol, it only works if your in doors, at NORMAL climate, no bg-noise...

I too tried the IBM ViaVoice product ... its nice but doesn't work well enough to really be used on a day to day basis in the office.

I tried Fonix - Voice Alert and it works extremely well. Next I will add Voice Central and see how that does.

Each product from Fonix has a 30 day trial - so best to try it for yourself.
