ACK! Yesterday my Palm Tungsten T3 worked. Today, it won't power on. I have installed no programs yesterday. I have tried doing a reset. I have tried putting it on the charger. The little charge light won't even come on.
Has anyone else had a problem with their T3 simply not powering on? Is there a known power problem with the Tungsten T3? I've sent an email to Palm and have yet to receive a response. Maybe I should call them up.
I just bought this like three weeks ago too. I don't want to be stuck with some refurb unit either. grrr.
(sorry for the rant and complain.,,. I'm just a bit grrrr right now)

There have been these types of power problems reported with the T3. One of the solutions seems to be taking the back off the machine, disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes, and then reconnecting the battery and doing a hard reset.

If you need help taking it apart the below link helps you do it.
Its for changing batteries. Verify that all the ribbon cables are connected correctly. With luck that is the only problem

Consider dealing with Palm under warranty. As you probably know, once you take the back off the T3, you have voided the warranty. I assume you can't take it back to wherever you purchased it; I was in same position with a T2. Despite not wanting a refurb, I suggest that dealing with Palm may be better than losing the warranty coverage.
(In my case, I arranged advance-exchange under warranty- got a refurb that was not cosmetically great, but screen & electronics were perfect.)
Good luck-

Be sure to try an in-cradle reset (http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=19,E=0000000000027051394,K=1747,Sxi=7,useTempl ate=Case.tem,CASE=887#incradle) if you haven't done so already.
