Hi. I'm James. I live here in downtown Seattle. I need some good professional advice from anyone that can help at all. It would b really appreciated.
I'm trying 2 find a company out there that offers cell phones specifically designed only to receive toll free 800 number(or varies series) calls. So far, I've looked in Telephony magazine, various magazines on communications, and researched online. I like this medium of communication much better because then I don't have to invest in a traditional wireless carrier(even if I went prepaid) like Cingular, AT&T, Virgin Mobile, Verizon, Qwest... u get it. Well, it seems I either invest in a prepaid plan w/1 of these companies or just keep using other various forms of communication. I don't want 2 invest my $ in these companies because they tend 2 b very demanding with either contracts or the prepaid options. Why go w/one of these companies when u can take advantage of toll-free rates, which are way lower per minute than the cheapest prepaid company I've dealt with: Virgin Mobile(.25/minute). Or, maybe I can find a wireless carrier that allowes me to keep my cell phone # for ever-even if I stop buying time cards from them. Most wireless carriers discontinue ur cell phone # if you don't pay into ur account withing a certain amount of time(ther average is 90 days). I hate this, I feel I should b allowed 2 keep my phone # which I paid for w/my hard earned $ no matter what. I suppose I can go "contracted" but I think that's just 2 demanding. Then, I can have a toll-free service that I finally feel comfortable using. Then, the worry of having 2 pay additional charges 2 another carrier(while I use the toll-free service of my choice on my cell phone) will be gone. All I would have to deal with is just one company-the toll free # provider. Please, please, please help!! Does anybody know of a company out there that will meet me at these needs? Can u make some suggestions? Maybe u know something I don't.
