how to download pic from digital cam to PDA?

anyone have any idea is there such a device that can let me duplicate information from smartmedia to a SD card?

so that i can download pic from digital cam to my x30.

should be a simple technology, but seems not anyone selling this.....so many card reader/writer out there, but all need a PC

I haven't heard of such an adapter. I have a SmartMedia to CF adapter, as well as an SD/MMC to CF adapter, and a Memory Stick to CF adapter, so know they exist.

I don't know of a Smart Media to SD adapter or vice versa.

The Dell Axim series doesn't have a USB Host port, so you wouldn't be able to use a card reader that way either, so as of now, you're out of luck.

there are some portable image storage out there , but way too expensive. not worth
