Clie' not recognizing MS.

HELP!

For some reason, my Clie' NR70V isn't seeing my Memory stick media. It was since I have had it (With a few mediacl programs on it), but when I have added MORE programs (isilo books, etc.) now it suddenly doesn't recognize the MS AT ALL.

I have tried numerous soft resets to no avail. I have also checked the content of the MS with my card reader/writer, and everything is still there.

All the user guide says to do is try and re-insert it. Yeah, great help SONY.

Any ideas form the experts out there???

There are several lengthy threads on this defect on various boards. Your choices are to repair it or return it to Sony for repair or replacement.

I called Sony for repair. They had me fax my proof-of-purchase and they are sending me a box to ship the unit to them for MS problem repair. I've read several peoples comments that Sony apparently knows what they are doing and the units come back in about a week and work fine. My shipping box should arrive tomorrow.

A week without my Clie.... ouch.

MS problem had been intermitent for a few months for me. Bought it at Best Buy with the three year warrenty, so when the problem became worse I returned it. Now I got me a "brandynew one". If a updated Clie comes along in the future I can upgrade to that unit + whatever the difference in cost. GOOD DEAL BEST BUY!
