I'm glad I found this place.

I have a 5810 through my company. Everything works fine except:

Nothing syncs through the cradle anymore. The cradle is connected to the computer, the BB is connected to the cradle and the Desktop Manager is open.

The connection is valid judging by the Desktop Manager stating "connected" and the BB displaying "Connected to Desktop" and the graphic of the BB, Folder, Computer being displayed.

The entire process runs: Checks the Calendar, checks the Contacts and checks the Tasks--just the way I have it set up. (Outlook, by the way--I figure that's important :))

I also have it set up to notify me of any conflicts.

There are conflicts. I guarantee it. Because I made them. I added a Contact and a Calendar entry to the BB and different Contact and Calendar entry to Outlook. They are there, but the IntelliSync just flat out doesn't pick them up.

Everything else works perfect but this. I get e-mail redirection through GPRS normally, phone functionality and both the PDA usage of the BB and the normal operation of Outlook are fine. It just won't sync.

Any ideas???

Try resetting the port speed down to a lower speed.

I had this prob once and it worked.

I set it at every option down to 9600 and still no luck.

Thanks, though. I never would have thought of that.

Do you mean it does not sync at all or does it just not pick up conflicts?

If it is not syncing at all then I would doublecheck your settings. Say for Address Book go to Intellisync, then Config PIM, highlight Address Book and hit Choose. Outlook 97/98/2000 should be selected I imagine. Click Browse. Verify location you're syncing from.

:p

Both. The picking up conflicts part is just the most obvious and easily explainable/testable manifestation of the problem.

All settings were correct. I ended up blowing the BB away and then recradling/resyncing. All is fine now, but I had to blow the BB totally away which, for me, is really no solution at all.

Speaking of blowing it away, is there any easier way to completely wipe a BB than to put the wrong password in 10 times?

EDIT: Sorry, BOLD coding problems.

You can wipe everything by running the Berry through Application Loader and selected to Wipe Handheld Data. If you don't see that option click Advanced on the last screen of the Application Loader. The password is a poor option since to recover it you have to run through the above mentioned it anyways.

You can also choose to wipe individual components by going into Backup/Restore and Advanced. This will allow you to say only delete your contacts or whatever you choose.

a Conflict is when you have an existing contact / appt that has different info.

eg. In outlook John Smith phone number = 222-2222 while you changed john smith phone number on the blackberry to be 555-5555. That is a conflict.
