so my AXIM X30 comes with 64mb ram and 64mb rom, right?

(when i installed the GPS NAV software it said it took up 30mb of memory... which memory did it use? ram or rom? and if it only took up 30mb shouldn't i have more remaining memory than what is listed below?)

here is the current memory status:

Storage
allocated: 28.74mb
in use: 20.99mb
free: 7.75

Program
allocated: 34.67mb
in use: 18.45mb
free: 16.22mb

what is the difference between "Storage memory" and "Program memory"? and which one is "ram" and which one is "rom"?

if i want to install more programs on the AXIM won't i need more "memory" of some kind? if so, how much more should i add? and what type of memory chip is it i use (SD memory?).

(please tell me anything else you think i may need to know!)

you people are so kind to help me,
thank you again,
daryl

ROM (read only memory) is where the operating system and pre-installed programs are stored, user cannot install applications or use it as storage.
RAM(Random access memory) is where the pocket is using for storage of data, applications (Storage) and programs' usage when they are running (Program). The more you installed programs or stored data in the RAM, the less you have for programs to use. The OS does automatically try to balance it for you.
Axim x30 has sd slot, which will let you use SD memory card, you can install most applications (you will have option to do so during installation process) and store data on storage card.
