Common question, I know. I am currently evaluating Itrezzo and was wondering if there were any free solutions for the 957?

Also if anyone could recommend other cool software that would be appreciated.

Back to trying to get Lotus Domino to redirect my email I go!

Thanks for readin

Of course BES 3.5 has this built-in, it depends on what you're looking for.

The attachment viewing I have discovered doesn't matter, as Cingular strips attachments from emails before sending them to the BlackBerry.

Cingular strips attachments? If you are using Lotus I assume you are using a BES. If that's the case then Cingular would have nothing to do with it.

Note: 3.5 is for Exchange only so no BES based attachment viewing for Lotus users.

I'm not using BES, and yes Cingular strips attachments, they also truncate long messages.

Interesting. I did not know that. Is it all attachments or those of a certain size? I guess since the attachment would have to be stored on whatever mail server they have then that's why they don't allow it.

It's any attachment, they also truncate long messages. Actually they keep the attachment on their server, so if you forward a message with an attachment in it, the attachment gets forwarded as well. I called them and the MULTIPLE people I talked to either

A) Didn't know this was the case
B) Couldn't tell me how to turn it off / They were helpless

Never mind that every time someone sends me an email with an attachment, I get two messages in my inbox. One that has the message, another notification that the message coming in has an attachment, with instructions on how to download it that don't function. This also was new to BlackBerry techsupport.

Heads up their.... yes. Office Space was a good movie.

So if you forward the e-mail (with the attachment) would the recipient get it? As far as I know I've never heard that Cingular offers Attachment Viewing.

If I forward an email that came with the attachment that has been stripped before getting to me, whomever i forward it to will receive that attachment.

Cingular doesn't offer attachment viewing, it also doesnt offer good customer service!

Isn't there a privacy issue using these offsite servers like Itrezzo's?

I'm not sure ... my blackberry is an internet edition so maybe it work differently. I don't use any of the advanced functions. Just enough to view an attachment when needed.

Yes there is Pupper, but what choice do we have? None! Can't view the attachments on the BlackBerry, so it must be sent off for conversion somewhere.

I downloaded and attempted to register ItrezzoAgent about 1/2 hour ago. So far, when I try to open an attachment, I'm getting a message that says:

"Service is unavailable. Registration has not yet completed, or you . . ."

I don't know what "or you . . . " means, but how long should it take to register?
