Hey, I'm new to this board and I need some serious help with networking this thing, lol.
Here's an explanation of my network before the iPaq arrived:
Me and my sister each have a computer in our rooms. We have a dial-up connection (broadband isnt available where we live yet :()
We wanted to share the dial up connection so that we could both use the internet freely without having to wait for the other to sign off. So, I networked our computers using a NetGear hub, the NIC's that were on our motherboards, and some Cat5 cable. I set up Internet Connection Sharing, and even though we only have a 56K modem, it has worked surprisingly well thus far.
Well, the other day I got a Compaq iPaq H3635, along with a D-Link wireless network card, and a D-Link wireless Access Point. I set up the network card, I installed the Access point software, and I plugged it into the hub. I am stumped as to where to go from here. I cannot get the network to work for anything. The computer sees the PDA as a peripheral, but I can't get it onto the network.
I want to be able to use the 'net on my PDA, and I need to get this to work for my dad, so we can use it as a demo. Any help would be appreciated Thanks a Lot.
