I have tried the Sprite Backup Premium 3.0 and found it is very useful, fast and reliable. In addition, it can backup to PC. However, if I have to hard reset the iPAG 2210, I can't restore the backup stored in the SD RAM to the PPC as I have installed the Sprite Backup Premium. ANy advice to move the program to the ROM or any place that the PPC still contains the program even though I hard rest the PPC.

There's only less than 4 mb in the filestore in the ROM area so that may not be enough to backup. But you can create a self-extracted executable backup file and store that on the SD card, when you need to restore after hard-reset, just click on that exe file, there's no need to install Sprite software to restore.

I have been using the backup that comes with the Ipaq H5555.
A number of times I have used it without any problems and it seemed to restore all of my programs and data.
What is the advantage of the "premium" program?

I think I didn't make my question clear.
My question is that if I use the Sprite Backup Premium to backup the PPC to the SD RAM, instead of using the Sprite backup program come with the iPAG 2210. I couldn't retore the backup file to the PPC after hardware reset, as the backup file of Premium version and the original backup is different. (the backup file extension for Premium is EXE and the original one is PBF).
Is there any way to flash the Premium version to the ROM?

I don't believe to can write anything permanent into the OS flash rom. If I understand you correct you tried to restore the backup you created with Sprite backup by using iPAQ backup that comes with the device and it would not work. I had the same problem on my 2210. Although both backup utilities are made by Sprite the iPAQ utility doesn't recognize the file or at least can't open it. You have 2 options. As mentioned above set Sprite backup to create self extracting backup files which will not need the Sprite program to restore for you or install the Sprite software program itself onto your SD card. That way it stays stable even during a hard reset and you can browse to it using file explorer after a hard reset and use it to restore. I do both because you can never be too sure. I have mine set to do nightly backups keeping a max. of the last 3 backups at a time. Even though it is installed fully on my card it still operates fine coming on at 4am backing up and shutting off again. You mention that your Sprite Premium backup file is an exe file so you must already be setting it to create self extracting files. If they still are defaulting to the iPAQ backup utility and causing problems your only option may by to install the Premium software directly on your card so you still have the whole program to restore with if needed.
