It's been some time now since I've installed the original ver. of city select v.5, though I have installed software upgrades.
Can anyone take me through the process with the greatest chance of success? I have an SD card reader if that's involved.

Installing the CS NA6 upgrade? Pop the CD in, follow the instrucitions on-screen. Start CS NA6 and go through the unlock wizard to obtain a new unlock code for your iQue.
Remove CS NA 5 via the uninstall wizard
Startup the CS NA6 install wizard (From the program start menu) and select the repair option
It should rebuild an index and you're good to go!
Now go to QMap on the iQue and remove detailed maps.
Go to MapSource and select the maps you want to upload and do so.
You're finished

Great instructions
I just wish I had found them 4 hours ago or that the update came with instructions.

Beautiful descripition but why is the install - repair moment needed? Because many people don't want twoversions on their machine, so after installing V6, you uninstall V5 and then run the repair option in V6. Uninstalling V5 causes a few glitches that are fixed with the repair option.

I had problem doing the uninstall of ver 5, did a repair, and went on to select maps on mapsource and intall to card in ique. But after it finished to me was a registery problem and could not continue.....
Tried to go back to reinstall ver 6 and just hung didn't do anything. Wonder if this has something to do with ver 5 being uninstalled and 6 needs it to be there since its just an update.
Anyway thank God again for Go-back. Reverted drive to when I started all this and all seems fine with both 5 and 6 showing in Mapsource.
It's now making the files to transfer and I am holding my breath. This has been an all night upgrade.

Well I give up.
All goes fine till end of the hot synch when says can't unlock map files.
When you enter the unlock code, is it suppose to tell you if it accepted it or not? I've tried unlocking it 3 times on mapsource and each time ique says can't unlock at the end of the hot sync.
I did when I first bought unit had problem and exchanged for another unit... maybe seriel numbers don't match or something. But updates of programs and got v5 installed fine (now deleted on ique.

If you want to save space but not uninstall v 5, you can simply delete all the maps (.img files) in the C:\GARMIN\CS5 folder. That way nothing is changed in the registry. Not so elegant but it works.
