Anyone else use a Compaq Aero 8000??

Hi! just over 2 weeks ago i Broight a Compaq Aero 8000 for University and am Loving it :D it's just one of the most versatile PDAs i've ever used and am really pleased with it, just wondered if there were any other Aero users out there

yep,

it is one of the best HPC Pro units in the market and it is one of the fastest too.

Take a look at: www.softmaker.de

There you can find a "full featured wordprocessor" und windows ce which works great with the aero 8000.

ah yeah i've already got that thanks :) i downloaded the Beta test of that the other day but havn't got round to installing it yet

I have had an Aero 8000 for some time. I purchased it used. I have never been able to do any browsing that requires encryption, such as internet banking, or stock purchases. I have not been able to find anyway to update IE, to allow for this. Can anyone help out. Thanks

yup, Microsoft released a 128-bit encrytion update here (http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/handheldpc/downloads/128bitSecurity/128bit.asp)

also you might be interested in the plus (http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/handheldpc/downloads/pluspack/pluspack.asp) pack, it adds like battery and memory meters to the system tray on the startbar, MS Paint, Image viewer, Pocket Word word count, Spell Checker and a load of other stuff, found both really useful although i havn't actually come to using the 128bit encryption yet, at least that i know about.

Thats 2 things i got from the HPC site at Microsoft website (http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/handheldpc/downloads/default.asp) that I found useful, maybe you will as well
