AnswerDude 08-29-2004, 10:19 PM It's an old problem that effects some but not all pocketpc units with all versions of PocketPC 2003 on all manufacturers platforms. In short on some pocketpc the unit will not wake up and alarms will not go off when the unit is off and will only go off when the unit is turned on manually later. http://www.brighthand.com/article/WinMobile03_May_Have_Problem_with_Alarms There are several free 3rd party fixes; http://atechware.com/fixalarm.htm http://www.burroak.on.ca/ptafaq.html http://www.spritesoftware.com/support/pocket_backup_support.html#5j Assassin 08-30-2004, 07:50 AM Thanks Answerdude, I'll give that a try as well. I'd given up using my iPAQ as an alarm clock due to this problem. The wierd thing was sometimes it would work, other times it didn't and I could never suss out why it happened. maybonot 08-30-2004, 10:20 AM i gave up - can't spend the night thinking " will it work and wake me or will I be late " i am using a $5 clock to wakeup and also setting my cellphone as a wakeup alarm. went to fix sites but the dime sulution seems better once th ipaq is in its day schedule it works fine for alerts. thanks again PDA Street
