Hi all! I am new here and would like to see if anyone could help me out. I have just purchased the Linksys WCF12 CF wireless network card. I have set it up and it gets me to the internet, but for some reason I can't seem to get it to be able to sync via the network. That is one of the reason's I went this way, so I know it can be done.
I would appreciate any help!

This article should help. The key thing is to put the ip of the desktop in the WINS field in the nic setting.

Hmmmm......that still doesn't work. I put the static ip address of the PC that I normally sync to under the connection settings just like that document stated. I can ping the iPaq from the PC but when I go to active sync and tap sync, it just goes for a minute and then stops. I have enable RAS/Ethernet syncing on the PC but still no go.
Help!!!!

you should verify that your desktop NIC is set to resolve netbios names using TCPIP. I had the same problem until I marked that checkbox.
you may with to install VXutil. It provides an easy interface to see your network config, ping and verify Netbios resolution. Its free and canbe downloaded from

hope it helps
