when i try to save a document from word or phm notepad the
directories on my sd card are shown but not the subdirectories
storage->directories->subdirectories
how can i save to subdirectories.
also how do i start word in the directory I show under fexplore or total commander?

You can install File Dialog Changer, and that should let you save files to anywhere.

did not replace my "save as "
although i get a message that it is up and runing

Did you install gsGetFile.dll? I think the lastest version need seperate installation of gsGetFile. It's on the same page;

Just copy the ARM version of gsgetfile.dll to Windows folder on the pocketpc. You may want to soft-reset after installation as well.

thank you.
the instructions were not in english.
So, I did not load getfile.
This makes a major difference both as to the organization of my files on the hard disk and to the procedure that is avalable for backup.
I can now make a set of subdirectories on my sd card and desktop so I can sync the files when i run activesync
I use the program you suggested "Total Commander"
with the plug in on my PDA and the desktop version.

after I did load getfile
all works very well
