Can someone explain how I go about getting rid of zlauncher? It is not what I was looking for I now I want to go back to the old way

go to the palmgear site and look for a product called 'Uninstall manager', you can download it and try it for free, that will get rid of ZLauncher for you and I would recommend keeping UM on your palm in case you want to get rid of any progs in the future.
can I ask why you are getting rid of ZL...most people I know swear by it.

It just appears to be to complicated. I have been sitting here playing with it while I waited for a reply and I have gotten it to look the way I want. All I was after was a way to display a background image. A buddy of mine has a zire and I like the way that looks. I am also having probls getting it to sync now that I have installed it. I may keep it a little longer and try it out. I have file z, could I delete it using that. There was a warning about removing it from rom memory.

The problem with FileZ is that you HAVE to know what elements to delete, with UM it does it all for you, I have both FileZ and UM and also ZLauncher on my unit, I use UM all the time and I have never had any problems with a hot sync with ZL installed.
I like ZL because Ive moved some of my big(Size wise) progs to my SD card and put a short cut on the Rom side so I can still call them and use them from the main screen.

To stop using zLauncher, simply choose the menu item that says "Exit". To totally eradicate it, something like the above mentioned uninstaller will work. You can also just noodle around in FileZ and delete things that are named similar to zlauncher. You can also sort by creator and catch everything with zlauncher's creator code.

You can delete zlauncher with FileZ all you want as long as you Exit first so zlauncher isn't running.

I'm one of those people who swear by zLauncher!

To uninstall Zlauncher, simply open it, tap menu>exit.
THEN, locate a program called ZLauncher Manager...if you dont have it, reinstall it from the zlauncher zip file. go thru and delete all components...some uninstall manager wont get. Then delete zlauncher manager via apps>menu>delete...>Zlaunchermanager
