does anyone know how to get rid of those exess programs buried in the rom? i.e. the mobile phone compatibilities because i really dont use my palm with a phone. also, which programs are delete-able, meaning which ones are required for the os to run and which ones arent necessary?

You can't delete program that in ROM. There are programs that allow you to delete ROM programs and use the extra ROM spce for storage but the T|E has masked ROM so this isn't an option. The applications in ROM aren't taking anything away from the 28 mb of RAM you have available for program storage. Just move programs you don't use to a hidden category and they won't clutter up your screen.

i know you cant delete the rom apps, but there is still stuff taking up the 28 mb rom space like dialer, adobe, versamail, stuff i never use. is there a way to get that off palm desktop so when i do a hard reset and sync it it wont put those programs back on?

You mean RAM not ROM. If you don't want those programs when you perform a hard reset and sync, delete them from the Backup subdirectory somewhere in your Palm directory on your PC.

Responding that you know you can't delete what you originally asked about deleting makes things rather confusing. There are programs that get loaded in RAM when you first set up your Palm so I assume that's what you really mean. Just go to the launcher and tap on Apps, Delete. You'll be presented with a list of applications that you can delete from RAM. If any of the programs you asked about are in RAM, you can delete them. If they don't show up in the list, they are in ROM and you can't delete them.
