Instead of using WiFi is it possible to use the bluetooth capabilities to hook up to my desktop PC and use the DSL network instead of my cell phone? Thanks.

Thanks. AnswerDude 09-09-2004, 01:24 PM Yes, you can. Here're 2 bluetooth guides; http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=1421 http://home.comcast.net/~spam-target/index.html NorseMan 09-09-2004, 02:11 PM ahhh nice. well what bluetooth adapter would you suggest? Also what about range? I would be using my Ipaq in my bedroom and the next room would be where my desktop is. I wonder if I could walk around the condo...? Npitlor 09-09-2004, 05:43 PM Just out of interest, why do you want to do that? What is the advantage of BT over WIFI? NorseMan 09-10-2004, 08:10 AM i know, i thought it would be a cheaper option but there really is no reason for me to do this... :o i should just fess up and buy the CF WiFi and be done with it! JimmyFitz 09-11-2004, 05:26 PM I have a 2215 and a WIFI CF card. I also have an IO Gear BT dongle on my laptop. WIFI is the faster way onto the internet and will allow Activesync to the laptop. There is a good reason for using the Bluetooth connection instead sometimes. The WIFI card will drain the PPC battery rather quickly as compared to BT. If you are using email or instant messaging, the speed difference doesn't matter unleass there are large attachments. PDA Street
