I have recently purchased an iPAQ 3850 and am having difficulty activating the reader. I have gone to the site, but once I sign in with my passport (it is valid), nothing happens.
Has anyone else had this problem?

I have also had issues with using MSN Passport on my IPaq. The account is valid but via my IPaq 3765 (when dialed in with a CF Modem) it does not seem to recognize that I am trying to enter MSN with my PASSPORT.

When you activate reader, your iPAQ must be connected to the desktop computer and ActiveSync needs to be running. There are registration files which transfer to the Pocket PC during registration.
One suggestion for the login problem listed in the previous post is to check the box next to where it says Public Access computer. Good luck!

To all:
I was having a problem signing in to .NET Passport, in order to get to my MSN Hotmail, via my IPaq 3765. My account was valid and accessible through other computers just fine. After 2 weeks of looking and no luck getting an answer from Passport, MSN, or Compaq I finally figured it out on my own. You MUST have your IPaq set to receive cookies.
thanks,

On a similar line, I noticed that after registering the Microsoft Reader on my 3835, there remains in the remove programs window in system settings a line that says "Microsoft Activation". Can I delete that with no harm to software or handheld? It seems to me I read somewhere when I installed/registered it that you could delete that once registration completed, but haven't been able to find that again since. Anybody out there know?
