New Cobalt OS

Does anyone know if the T/C will support the new Cobalt OS? I want to upgrade from the T/T to the T/C but I heard the new OS is going to be a lot better then the 5.2 and will be worth getting. Does anyone also know when the Cobalt is going to be released? Thanks

Palm OS 6 (Cobalt) is already released but their are no machines out that use it yet. PalmOne hasn't stated a release date but the general "feeling" is in time for the holiday season.

PalmOne has not taken a position regarding upgrading any existing machines to OS 6. There's no hardware reason why a T|C couldn't work with OS 6 but Palm's record for releasing major OS upgrades for existing machines is not good. I certainly wouldn't purchase any PalmOne machine now with the idea it will be able to be upgraded to OS 6.
