Hello,

Under v5 my routing track color was magneta. Since I've updated to v6 and 6.3 it is now white, is there anyway to reset it to the old color?

Same with my North American CS6 upgrade.

As far as I know, you can't change that color yourself. Probably a glitch. Maybe it heals by itself, or try a reset.

I tried a hard reset and still have the white routing and lines not tracking the streets (cutting across curves). I suspect the two are related??

Anyone have suggestions?

Here's a screenshot of the problem.

That's not routing lines. Those are TRACK lines. You must have told the tracks to display on the map. If I had Betty handy I would tell you how to remove them. When you go to review your tracks you have to uncheck a box ... or something. Someone will fill in the details.

GPS - Preferences - Maps - Navigation - Saved tracks.

You can also set each saved track individually to show or not to show on the map.

Well I talked to Garmin today and they were no help at all. I've tried reloading the maps, setting the preferences, going back to defaults, nothing fixes the problem.

I did manage to get the magenta route color back but it doesn't follow the streets either. I think Mapsource v6 has some major problems and right now can not recommend it to anyone, So far it has been a disaster for me!

As I said in the new thread you started about this, it looks like you are viewing routes in v6 which you created in v5. That scenario has exactly the results you are describing -- routes no longer following roads but just going from point to point along the way in straight lines.

You should be able to recreate the routes from scratch with the v6 maps and have them work properly. There is no way to "fix" the v5 routes to work with v6.

Hmmm... I suppose that might work. I haven't tried it myself.

I know that when I upgraded to v6, the routes were hosed-as-described. Being that there were only a few, I just deleted the v5 routes and recreated them. That worked for sure.

There was a longer thread when v6 first came out that described this situation and I can't remember if there was a mention of recalculating or not.

"That's not routing lines. Those are TRACK lines. You must have told the tracks to display on the map. "

Track log is off, where else is it? I do have one track line displaying and can't seem to figure out how to turn it off?

I am redoing all my saved routes, do I need to delete them all first? I use a lot of via's in my saved routes so it is a pain.

Anders, I'm not sure where i do this? help please.

JohnVa,

From the iQue Launcher, select TRACKS.

Tap on each saved track in the list to get the Details page for that track.

UNcheck the box for "Show on Map".

...ken...
