Pocke PC versus Smarphone (Windows Mobile)

Can someone point me in the direction of some online articles, or comment themselves on the relative merits of the PPC phone, like the XDA, and the Smartphones, which is best?

I'm thinking future proofing, particularly applications, ease of use, cool factor... you name it
