Is someone still interrested in a brandnew 5mx Dutch version?
The 5mx is never been used so the screencable is also brandnew.
Together with the 5mx is a Psiwincable(incl.CD-Rom PSIWIN 2.3.3) , (sealed) dutch handbooks and a trainingsCD-Rom

That's OK, it's just the forum rules that dictate that all "for sale" items have to be in Classifieds. We keep asking if we can have our own Classifieds area within Psion Place, but alas it seems not. :(

I'm sorry to hear that your 5mx is broken.
But what is broken? The screen, the screencable or the total 5mx?
Do you have a QWERTY-version or en AZERTY-version.(Vlamish or French)

It just don't start anymore. Pressing on the on buttom does really nothing. Start recording does not react. So it is really dead. I have a electronics background, so I have disassembled it and will try to locate the problem. But I don't give it much change it will succeed. An electronic drawing could help to understand the hardware, but I think it will be very hard to find.

Hello,

Last week, someone called me with also a "dead" 5mx.
When I told him how to make a "soft reset", the 5mx came alive!
I hope you tried also the soft reset (or maybe later the hard reset), because that is the main problem with a dead reset.

When it is the motherboard which should be broken, then it will be an expensive repair. (see www.srsgmbh.de)

In that case I can use the broken 5mx for spareparts for other 5mx users.

Hello,

Did you already reset (soft reset or hard reset) your Psion.
In case this did not worked, I am afraid that the motherboard maybe is broken down.

As I told you, this wil be an expensive repair.
If you don't want to repair your Psion, we will like to have him for spareparts.
