Help. how do I get my web-based email?

As a Series 7 novice, I was mildly alarmed to find that I couldn't get into my Hotmail account when on the net. Is there a way of so doing or some other way of getting web-based email? Cheers, journalist in need.

You will need to use Opera as your web browser in order to access Hotmail, as opposed to the S7's built-in "Web" app. Opera is a much more capable browser than Web in many ways.

Unfortunately it's not free, but you can take a 30-day trial, downloadable from:

While on the subject (I posted this question elsewhere but have not had a reply) I get an error message in Opera saying I need to enable cookies even though I have this option ticked - any ideas?

I've had issues with Opera cookies time and again. No one else seems to have the problem, so I have been assuming it was an issue with my own setup, and from time to time I fiddle with the settings again. It seems to be an off and on sort of thing. Occasionally I get an error from a site, but I setting do get saved (or whatever I was trying to do). Seems to fail most of the time however. I'll try experimenting with it some more this week, and I'll post if I figure it out.
