Installed some game called the nut craker and now I cannot get control of my ipaq

if I can bring up the start menu I certainly don't get enought time to move down to settings and choose shut down all programs.

I tried to uninstall the offending program but that hasn't helped.

what can I do to regain control

Use the tip of the stylus, push and release the little recessed reset button. You didn't mention the model of the ipaq, so check your manual to find the location of the reset button.

I have installed and uninstalled "The Nutcracker" several times and have never noticed any instability caused by the program - perhaps your problem is being caused by something else?
