I have a brand new 3975, and a brand new Toshiba Notebook that I bought on the same day....which was about a month ago by the way. To this day I have never been able to get the two to communicate with each other. I spent several hours on the phone with HP and with Toshiba, neither of them were able to help me. At one point, I conferenced them together thinking I could get it solved that way, but no luck. Does anyone have it working? If so, do you have any advice?

Thanks,

Do the two see each other at all? If yes, are they able to bond?

Well at one point I did get them to bond......however after several hours and a couple days of trying, I gave up on it.

Hi,

I managed to work Ipaq via Toshiba PCMCIA card.

I have Toshiba PA3053 (which is old) but I managed to find drivers for Win2000 with support for BT 1.1 protocol.

Unfortunately my card (or Bluetooth Software Suite for the card) doesn't support ActiveSync profile, so I am only able to exchange contacts and files.

First of all, make sure both devices are see each other. I also created visrual COM port on PC which supports BT Serial Port profile.

IPAQ has COM port exported as a service - so, drag and drop Virtual Port from PC to IPAQ COM port - this creates connection between 2 devices. In general, it is like connecting them via cable.

Once you have that link established (enter identical password - any - should be identical on both devices) - you can explore files on IPAQ, send files from IPAQ to PC, exchange contacts and etc.

Please let me know which card you have from Toshiba, which protocol it supports (should be BT 1.1) and which operating system you are using.

What version of ActiveSynch you are using.

Good luck
