Driver not found!!! Please help

Hi

I installed Palm Desktop on my laptop an tried to Hot Sync with the Ique 3600.
The New Hardware Wizard opens and tells that a new hardware device was found "Palm Handheld" but when I try to install the drivers it tells me, that there was no driver found. So I'm not able to sync.
Where do I find the drivers I need?

Uh, by the way, I'm using Windows 2000 Pro

Did you install the palm Desktop from the Garmin CD? I know it used to be that the Palm Desktop that comes straight from Palm didn't have the correct inf file for the iQue.

Yes I used the one from the CD. I also manually searched the CD for .inf files, there is none.

What laptop are you using? A Dell?

No I'm using a Compaq Armada E500.

It's not a Hardware Problem. The Windows connects to the Ique but fails when is trying to install the driver, because there is no driver...

Did you follow the instructions exactly? The order of installation is important.

Open the Windows Device Manger, and then hit Hotsync button on the cradle. See if the DM blips. It it does and adds a Palm Handheled device on the DM list, right click it before it goes away and select "Install Driver for this Device" or similar msg. from the context menu and see what happens.

Try the inf files in this zip just for fun. I had an issue once when I was trying to install my Tungsten T3 and iQue on the same box. I had to save off these inf files so the iQue could be installed.
