Help Me Disable Screen Animation - HPC 2000

I have heard that processing speed can be greatly increased by disabling Windows screen animation, by modifying the system registry. Can anybody send me a step-by step narrative on how to do this?? Thanks....

Use SmallTweak : http://tillanosoft.com/ce/stweak.html . It's free and allows many adjustments without intervening directly in the base of register.
