M105 Battery Indicator

Finally stepped into the 20th century a couple of months ago and bought an M105. Really like the device. More recently my better half decided she needed one as well.

Thought it was funny that my battery indicator on the home screen never changed even with new batteries, but when looking at my wife's screen, her battery is dark with fresh batteries.

Any ideas from the more experienced users?

have you tried a soft reset? The battery indicator doesnt update immediately.

Tried soft & hard resets (for other reasons) since noticing the problem--all to no avail. Even had a suggestion (from another board) to use a shortcut-dot code in the memo pad to toggle the expected battery type. Also, no dice.

I'm thinking about taking the critter back to the store & swap it for one that does everything.
