Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : ove difficult item to do on my Tungsten
I have been using Zlauncher for a while, trying it out and have decided that I would like to try out another Launcher. I am curious aboout Hi-Launcher, which might or might not fit my needs better.
Then, I started going into this infinite loop trying to remove Zlauncher. It will start asking me "register" or "Try again". but never remove !!
I went on the Zlauncher site and that have a little bittie item on it, but it doesn't owrk for me.
I am going to reinstall Zlauncher and try to remove it again.
Has anyone tried to unintall the demo of Zlauncher??
Thanks,
Jon

Make sure you disable it (or exit it, or whatever)--don't try to delete an add-on launcher that's still "active." I know in older Palms, deleting an add-on like Launcher III without making it NOT the default launcher would result in the default launcher being the OLD Palm OS 1.x launcher--no category picker--and to get to the "newer" built-in launcher, you would have to tap the Applications icon.
I haven't tried that with my E yet... hmmm...
Telyx,
After re-installing it, I got it off the system. Very difficult to find out and when you go into the Tungstem Preferences, it first asks you that question, do you want to "register" or "try again".
It opens a window ans asks that over and over.
Finally, after reinstalling, I saw that the answer was NOT in the Palm Preferences, it was stuck back in the Zplayer preferences for what you want your default Launcher to be.
After that, I used the normal Palm launcher, then went into the conventional Palm delete program, and deleted two Zlauncher programs.
I di a soft reset and it looks like it is gone. Reminded me of being in Las Vegas once and how difficult it was to get out of one of the casino's there.
For me, the problem was that I assumed that it would be somewhere in the Palm to software to choose the Launcher and not stuck in the Zlauncher settings.
I might purchase the product, but it sort of bothers me on how so many skins are sold and it is a little much for me, but I really like the File Manager, for managing my 512MB SimpleTech card.
