Those of you who have this battery -- would you say it is worth the extra $110 or so?
What is the life of its charge compared to the standard battery?
Thanks,

Well, I can't say that the operating time is 3 times as long, but it is 3 times the capacity. My only comment is to watch out of the total loss of data during the battery change. I have lost all data about 50% of the times that I have changed the battery. The e740 has also been back to Toshiba for the recal, but I still have lost the RAM.

The battery was worth it for me. It saved me in more than one occasation on flights. A button gets bumped and the unit turns on, ok for 5 minutes, but it keeps getting bumped. Well I had 2 hours of battery left after the 10 hour flight. I have never run the extended down all the way. I have, run the standard battery down more than once. If you are not need the data to restore, total paper weight. Plus I hate that beep at 50% battery.
From my experience:
Standard battery 4-5 hours depending on PDA use
Extended battery 17+, when the beep goes off at 50% there is still 8 hours on the meter, and reports 9 hours used.
This is pre-recall, after the recall the monitor software would not function correctly.
