In case you haven't seen this...
...Some iPAQ H3800 and H3900 Series Pocket PC models may automatically power-on even though a calendar event notification did not occur. You may notice that despite pressing any buttons or having any internal alarms activate, the iPAQ has automatically turned-on by itself...... This is for those who updated to the 1.20 or 2.20 ROM. All others need not worry (so says hPaq).
No FIX yet, but there is a workaround if you experience this problem.
