I have a Casio Cassiopeia EM-500 and A Hewlitt-Packard 8670C desktop computer running on Windows XP Home. Before I upgraded the computer, it was Windows 98, and worked fine with MS ActiveSync 3.1. When I upgraded to XP and AS 3.5, the USB Connection no longer worked, and the Auto-Hardware Loader would pop up, saying "Casio USB Sync 2002," but would never set up the hardware, and ActiveSync would never work. So I bought a Serial Cable, and not even that works. It will set up a Partnership, then never connect again then will Sync up and randomly drop off the connection! Can anybody please tell me what is wrong and why my PPC isnt working and how I could get it to work?? Thanks and have a great day,

Hard to tell. Just some thoughts you might check.

If you have other usb devices plugged in unplug them and reboot and try your syncing. I have had problems with periferals both on my old computer with 98 and new hp with xp.

You might go into control panel/system/advanced/device manager and click on the usb items just after it has given trouble and see if any of them are showing problems or conflicts.

If that fails to show anything, I'd uninstall active sync via control panel/add remove programs and reboot and reinstall active sync.

Thanks,
I've uninstalled and re-installed every version of activesync that I could get my hands on about 30 times...
I'll try the drivers thing. Thanks again,

I see Micro Soft has a new version of active sync.

Do other USB devices work on your system ?

Yes, I have an Olympus Digital Camera that works on USB, but a ZIP Drive that does NOT, even with all of the updated drivers, etc.
Thanks
