sync problems with Outlook 2003

My office recently upgraded to Outlook 2003
I found the update for intellisync lite

However, periodically when I sync, all of my dated and timed appointments will revert to the current date as untimed events!

What's going on?!

First, I want to confirm that you've downloaded and installed the update at http://ciscdb.sel.sony.com/perl/swu-download.pl?template=EN&mdl_id=480&upd_id=1512&PASSVAL=ALLOS . There were several different versions of this update so it's important that this is the version you have installed.

Intellisync uses a field by field comparison of records to determine what has been updated. There has been a continuing problem with Intellisync that will move all records to today's date when the sync database gets corrupted. One of the ways to prevent this happening is to do a once a week "desktop overwrites handheld" sync, which resets the records database and keeps the sync working correctly.

In the long run, Intellisync is just not a very good program and it will continue to give you various mysterious problems. If having an accurate sync with Outlook is important to you, I'd suggest that you at least try a trial download of Pocket Mirror Standard at www.chapura.com . This is the program that came with all Palm brand products and has been well proven over the years. It's not free (unless you have had another Palm in the past and still have the CD) but the money would be worth it to me.
