Is it possible to beam addresses from a Palm M125 into a Dell Axiom X5?? If not, can you suggest a better way to do that without having to start all over?!?!

Thanks,
Jay

Older Palms and newer Pocket PC's use a different format for contacts and calendar items. About the only way to accomplish what you want it to buy Peacemaker at http://www.conduits.com/products/peacemaker/ and install it on the Dell Axim.

Jim-
Will this program allow me to beam my address book even though it is shown as locked on the Palm?? Some items are locked and cannot be beamed at all. Do I need to run Peace Maker on both PDA's in order to acheive what I am trying to do?
Thanks for all of your help!

Jay

Are you trying to beam the program, or the data? To beam the data I'm pretty sure you have to do it one address at a time.

You have to beam one record at a time. The Palm and Pocket PC address books are completely different in format so there's no point in trying to beam an entire address book file. If you both use Outlook, the easiest way to exchange an entire address book is to convert the contacts forlder to CSV format and then have the other person import this CSV format into Outlook, perhaps in a contacts subfolder if they don't want your contacts mixed in with theirs.

You only need to have Peacemaker installed on the Pocket PC. It will see a beamed record from the Palm and convert it to vCard format so the Pocket PC can read the record. There are several conversion options for beaming records from the Pocket PC to other PDA's including the Palm and Psion.
