SOS,

I am so bummed. My unit will not power on when detached from cradle. However in the cradle it will. It will power up in the cradle with a new OS Welcome screen. When powered on if you detach from cradle and turn off and one will not be able to power on again until back into cradel and so the cycle begins. Hence, that I took apart my device only to remove my jammed stylus pen. All I did was to unscrew those four torx screws and then removed the two halfs. As anyone ever experience this problem upon disassembly of unit? Please Advice?

Thanks for your time,
Carlos

Sounds like to me when you pulled the casing apart you disconnected the battery cable from the board. Hence when you disconnect the unit from the cradle it has no power and all setting and things in RAM are gone. I would not really comfortably suggest this I would be willing to bet that the connector just needs to be snapped back together.

Thanks for the tip. Let me re-open and see what is loose. Thanks again.

Heck Yeah! It worked. The ribbon was lose. I snapped it back into place and it fired right up. Thanks a bunch.
