Anyone succeeded to connect an Osaris with Irda to a WinXP machine?
I tried IRcomm2 with the connect software on the pc running in Win98 compatibility mode, no luck though the Irda device on the PC detects the Irda port on the Osaris.

I haven't heard of anyone succeeding in running PsiWin over Infrared with Windows XP. Even with the patch to use IrCOMM in Windows 2000, the success rate has been very poor.
Running PsiWin in Windows 98 compatibility mode probably still isn't going to help if the IrCOMM protocol isn't there in the first place. Windows XP uses IrOBEX which is no use for PsiWin.

Thanks Mike,
IrObex is a new Phenomenon for me.
It seems you have to convert this to Ircomm to connect PSiwin with Irda to WinXP! Sounds to complicated for me (uncle Bill has us again "by the tail"!)

IrObex is a new Phenomenon for me. It seems you have to convert this to Ircomm to connect PSiwin with Irda to WinXP! IrOBEX is Infrared Object Exchange and IrCOMM is basically just emulating a normal serial connection over Infrared. With IrCOMM, PsiWin thinks it is running a serial connection, although in practice IR is slower than a cable connection. As I said before, I haven't heard of anyone managing to connect over IR with Windows XP (....which doesn't mean that it cannot be done).
